A climate policy council will ensure that government policy is in line with climate objectives. The Climate Policy Council is an interdisciplinary group of experts tasked with independently assessing the compatibility of the overall policy presented by the government with national climate goals. The Council is composed of members of high scientific competence in the fields of climate, climate policy, economic, social and behavioural sciences. The CICC studies each country`s annual carbon emissions, climate policies and energy strategies and interviews 400 environmental experts. It is made up of a coalition of environmental groups, including Germanwatch, the Climate Action Network and the NewClimate Institute. On 6 March 2015, Sweden announced its contribution to the global fight against climate change. The original INDC is available on the UNFCCC website. The climate policy framework is an important climate reform in Sweden and is an important part of Sweden`s efforts to comply with the Paris Agreement. . . .
